Local technology provider shortlisted for North East Business Awards
Local technology provider Smart IT are delighted to have been shortlisted in the prestigious North East Business Awards for the Apprenticeships, Training & Skills category.
This award recognises businesses that have implemented a successful apprentice, training or skills programme as an integral part of developing their workforce providing opportunities for the younger generation in the area.
We are honoured to be a finalist in the Apprenticeships, Training & Skills category, our apprenticeship scheme is something we have always been passionate about.
Like most apprenticeship schemes, all our apprentices earn a range of qualifications and experience that will kick start their career in IT. However, what really sets the Smart IT Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme apart is we are one of the very few companies that will certify engineers to be Microsoft Certified IT Professionals or MCITP for short.

We are looking forward to attending the final, it’s an opportunity to celebrate our Apprentice Scheme whatever the result on the night.
At Smart IT the training and development program continues once the apprenticeship is complete, each new qualified apprentice is then assigned a mentor to provide ongoing support and guidance. As part of our structure, we strive to promote from within wherever it is possible, which has resulted in apprentices progressing to senior engineers and managers within Smart IT.
