NEW LUXURY FLAGSHIP STORE & EXPANSION FOR LUXE WATCHES

The UK’s leading pre-owned luxury watch retailer has opened a new flagship boutique on Epping High Street and has expanded its offering to include new jewellery and accessory lines. The new store, a completely renovated two storey townhouse, boasts sleek exteriors and includes a first-floor event room.

The retailer also has further expansion plans and will retain and transform its original boutique in Buckhurst Hill into an in-house accredited service centre, which will launch early 2022. It will provide additional services in the form of a 360 approach to the business and customers from a simple battery replacement to a full maintenance service.

Nicholas Hickey, Managing Director of Luxe Watches, said: “We really are delighted to have opened the doors to our new flagship store which is testament to the incredibly hard work of our team, proving possibility in times of adversity. The world has changed due to the pandemic and there have been many huge losses on the high street, so to weather the storm and prosper really is extremely humbling and a very proud moment indeed.

“Whilst we loved the original boutique location on Queens Road, our team expanded as the business grew and it was clear we needed a bigger, fresher space. We really can’t wait to welcome the public to enjoy a luxury retail experience with us at our new store, and see what they think of it, and our newly expanded range of products.”

While the Covid pandemic shuttered businesses across the country, Luxe Watches took the opportunity to complete an internal audit and overhaul, focusing on a UK buying strategy which included launching a dedicated buying team, as well as limiting overseas travel.

The new buying team will be led by Jed Brailey who has extensive experience in luxury watches, having already purchased more than £2million of stock directly from UK clients, supporting the larger global climate initiative.

Oscar Strong has been brought in to head up sales, streamline the client experience and increase visibility on the Luxe Watches Instagram channel in a bid to create a more meaningful relationship with potential buyers.

This year has also seen Luxe Watches investing heavily in infrastructure and technology with the introduction of its ‘Buy My Rolex’ tool – the world’s first watch valuation tool which invites users to input basic details about their timepiece to receive a market value quote for resale within 60 seconds.

Luxe Watches has also recently been named as finalists in two categories - Ecommerce Retailer of the Year and Best New Store of the Year, at the 2021 WATCHPRO Awards.

Luxe Watches was launched in 2011 to bridge the gap between the luxury retail experience and that of pre-owned luxury to provide that feeling of excitement with every watch bought, sold or sourced for a client. The business spent the first 18 months servicing clients on an appointment only basis, launching its website and first retail premises in May 2013.
