ESF fully funded courses at the University of Sunderland - Places still available!

The University of Sunderland are proud to be the lead partner on the Northeast Workforce Skills Programme funded by ESF – and this programme boasts a huge number of fully funded short courses available to businesses in the Northeast. Some of the courses available have a broad appeal, they have learning that could be used in a multitude of settings and job roles.
The following courses still have funded places up for grabs – so get in touch!
Intro to Workplace Wellbeing – 1 day – Mar 21st - On campus
Workplace wellbeing is thoroughly explored within this one-day event. Wellbeing has become synonymous with workplace health issues though there remains a lack of clarity and understanding about what constitutes wellbeing and therefore how well being risks can be effectively managed. This one-day introduction will allow delegates to appreciate the scope of wellbeing issues within the workplace leading to a greater understanding and appreciation of the complexity that workplace wellbeing includes.
Applied Workplace Wellbeing – 3 days - Mar 21st-23rd - On campus
After day 1 the remaining two days will focus specifically on a number of approaches and tools that can be used within the workplace to effect meaningful change for the health and wellbeing of all employees. This can include the importance of a health needs analysis which provides targeted and evidence-based data from which interventions and strategies long, medium short, medium and long term
Project Management - 1 day – 6th April - On campus
This course is an overview of what is required to manage and develop projects within various environments.
- What defines a course? We look at the core components, objectives and expected outcomes of a course.
- What do projects have in common? We look at the common aspects of projects across several areas and how we can use common ground to develop courses.
- Identifying special features of your project? Finally, we also look at the more specialised areas of a project and how they can be developed and fully utilised.
Project Planning - 1 day –11th May – On campus
This course is an introduction to the wider field of Project planning and project management. The course itself is aimed at a wider field of professionals and will cover several areas:
- Planning
- Information
- Methods
Masterclasses - 1 day - delivered via online learning
- Leadership
- Coaching
- Emotional Intelligence
Introduction to Leadership - 3 day – 3rd May – On campus
Course content will provide insight into definitions of leadership, qualities of effective leaders, and styles of leadership, including:
- Personal and professional qualities, with a strength’s focus
- Leading self and others, formal/informal leadership
- Self-identity, social identity, behaviour and impact
- Personality profiling, emotional intelligence and personal values
- Communication/influence
