What’s Possible Group awarded Carbon Neutral Status and Certification
What’s Possible Group, the only harmonious marketing group exclusively for marketers at dynamic growth brands, has been awarded Carbon Neutral status and certification after an independent assessment of its carbon footprint over the last six months.
The assessment, which was documented by THG Eco and independently verified by MyCarbon, included a review of emissions across scopes one and two, measuring the impact of What’s Possible Group’s buildings and people on the environment through direct and indirect emissions. The Group achieved THG Eco One-Star Company Carbon Neutral Certification.
The total of the Group’s emissions was then offset against the purchase and retirement of carbon credits, which were used to support a project that funds and helps distribute fuel-efficient domestic cookstoves to households within the Anseba district of Eritrea. The project aims to improve the living standards of rural communities through the delivery of these modern and environmentally-sound energy services.
What’s Possible Group aims to achieve further certification with the addition of Scope 3 into 2023 and beyond, which requires the measurement and offsetting of carbon emissions caused by the goods and services the Group buys and sells on behalf of clients, as well as defining a carbon reduction strategy.
Parry Jones, Deputy CEO, What’s Possible Group, commented on the news: “This is a key milestone in our journey to becoming a B Corp. We believe business can and should be a force for good. Our B Corp team is working extraordinarily hard to make us a more sustainable, inclusive and transparent business. I am incredibly proud.”
