The UK's leading vitamin product secures £2.5m Suntory Group investment

Personalised vitamin brand at the vanguard of nutritional innovation, Rem3dy Health, have just secured a SAFE investment round of over £5m to support international expansion and the development of new technologies to deliver high-volume and high quality retail products.

Suntory Group, the global leaders in packaged consumer goods, were one of the new investors who jumped at the opportunity to be part of this next phase. Their £2.5m investment deal will bring together Rem3dy’s cutting-edge 3D-printing technology with Suntory which is a leading health enrichment company in Asia.

Nourished, the vitamin brand under Rem3dy, uses a revolutionary 3D printing method and vegan encapsulation formula (both patented) to combine seven active ingredients out of a choice of 40, in order to create a personalised daily nutrient gummy, which is entirely bespoke to the individual’s needs and lifestyle.

After launching in the UK and US in 2020, Nourished has long seen Asia as a key target region for expansion and a long-term strategic partnership with Suntory Group will be a key pillar for success. In order to ensure product market fit, Nourished will develop new localised flavours such as yuzu, lychee, tea, chai and lemongrass, seeking to compliment the Japanese consumer palette.

Japan is the world’s third largest dietary supplements market, valued at USD9.4 billion. Rem3dy recognised the opportunity to grow as the sector continues to expand, due to an ageing population and a rise in health consciousness among Japanese consumers.
In their market research, Rem3dy identified that Japanese consumers have a particular focus on supplements that can aid in relieving menopause symptoms, weight management, and appearance all of which are pain points Nourished vitamins can support with.

Founder Melissa Snover is no stranger to securing large investments for Rem3dy Health. In 2019, she broke the record for the highest UK Seed Funding by a women, securing over £2m. Then in 2021 locked in a further £8m in Series A funding. This particular investment from Suntory Holdongs Ltd comes at a fantastic time, as the business continues to grow and expand.

Founder & CEO of Rem3dy Health, Melissa Snover, commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be partnering with Suntory to bring truly personalised nutrition to the Japanese market in 2023. We are honoured to work with a global leader of consumer goods, who also share our ethos for sustainability, innovation and quality.”

She added, “Suntory’s deep understanding and expertise of the Asian market will enable Rem3dy Health to expand into a part of the world which is passionate about health and wellness and deliver tailor-made, convenient and delicious nutrition to its masses”

Masuo Kawasaki, Managing Executive Officer at Suntory Holdings Ltd, had this to say, “The innovative brand “Nourish3d” developed by Rem3dy Health creates new types of products that utilise 3D printing to create personalised gummies that allow consumers to easily meet their nutritional goals. I believe that the innovativeness of Nourished and their new ways of taking nutrition can meet the health needs of consumers around the world.
With this in mind, we decided to invest in the company as part of the startup collaboration led by the Future Business Development Department. Through this, we will work together to promote the global development of future food styles.”
