Amazing Jane & Smart Works Newcastle Take It Up a Gear for International Women’s Day
Amazing Jane & Smart Works Newcastle recently announced an exciting collaboration to create a bespoke pair of limited-edition leggings ahead of International Women’s Day 2023. As part of this collaboration Amazing Jane will also be supporting the popular Cycle for Smart Works campaign and will be overseeing three pop up cycle hubs across the region.
Whether you’re a total novice or cycling fanatic, organisers are urging you to go the distance and join the Smart Works community and help raise vital funds for the charity that helps to empower women on their work journey.
Amazing Jane have set up three cycle hub collaborations across the North East including Sunderland, Washington and Newcastle. Starting on Sunday 5th March Amazing Jane have teamed up with RU: Ready and Apex Fitness, then over to EXHALE Washington (Monday 6th March) followed by Club Zest Sunderland (Tuesday 7th March) and ending at Sky Centre Newcastle (Wednesday 8th March). Alongside the cycle Amazing Jane will have a pop-up shop at each site and the IWD 2023 limited-edition Smart Works leggings will be on sale.
Cycle for Smart Works is an opportunity for businesses and individuals to come together to help empower women for job success. Take it up a gear, put the wheels in motion and join the team on their mission. This International Women’s Day, alongside the cycle hubs teams of 5 to can also sign up to cycle a collective 500 miles between 1st and 8th March. Sunderland based Amazing Jane are a brand transforming the fitness industry with their ethos dedicated to empowering women to lead healthy, active lifestyles through the power of clothing. The company caused quite a stir in the fitness and mainstream news in late 2022 when their new TrackHer range of activewear leggings hit the market, with high profile features in Women’s Fitness, Trail Running and Top Sante’.

Smart Works Newcastle supports North East women into employment through interview clothing and coaching. Giving women the confidence, the self-belief and the practical tools they require to succeed at interview and to start a new chapter of their life. The specially commissioned leggings named ‘Kirsty’ (named after the first person who accessed the services) have been designed around the feedback of feelings evoked by Smart Works Newcastle clients and Amazing Jane customers and portray some very powerful messages.

One of the cycle hub partners to get on board with the campaign is Club Zest Sunderland. The women’s only gym have been helping women from across Sunderland and the North East become fitter, healthier and more confident for over 20 years.

“As a women’s only gym our whole ethos is around supporting women. A healthy relationship with fitness is so important and the impact on wellbeing and general motivation in all aspects of life is so vital and can’t be underestimated. We are delighted to get behind the campaign and are looking forward to getting our spin on for Cycle for Smart Works next month, it’s a great way to celebrate IWD 2023.”
The limited-edition leggings are now available with 20% from all orders containing the Kirsty Wonder Leggings set to be donated to Smart Works Newcastle as part of the collaboration.
