Liverpool fire safety experts plan further expansion following 100% increase in revenue

Fieldway Group (“Fieldway” or “the Company”), the national fire protection specialist, has reported a 100% rise in revenue over the past two years, supported by a raft of social housing contract wins and entry into new sectors.

The Liverpool-based Company was founded in 2006 by CEO Brian Murphy. Since 2018, the Company has been supported by leading regional SME investor, Foresight Group (“Foresight”).

Fieldway has recently secured new long-term service and maintenance contracts from clients including Leeds City Council, Salford City Council, Telford & Wrekin Council and Charnwood Borough Council. For these and other clients in the sector, Fieldway has delivered an increasing number of services both in active fire protection - fire alarms, sprinkler systems and smoke ventilation - and passive fire protection - fire doors, compartmentation and cladding.

The high-quality service delivered has resulted in Fieldway being ranked the top contractor on key social housing frameworks including PFH, Procure Plus and EEM.

Fieldway now hopes to build upon the progress it has made in other markets, such as education and commercial buildings. This will enable Fieldway to achieve its business plan of delivering 35% growth year-on-year.

This ambitious target has also been made achievable by Fieldway’s 2021 acquisition and subsequent successful integration of IPCL; a North East-based leading provider of specialist fire protection services including intumescent paint coatings. IPCL’s products have been applied to several landmark buildings including The Shard, Battersea Power Station, O2 Arena and Chelsea Barracks.

This success has enabled Fieldway to enhance its commitment to boosting skills within the Liverpool City Region, delivering on its commitment to supporting and developing local communities. Fieldway invests over £10,000 annually in training programmes and the number of apprenticeships at the Company has doubled from 5 to 11. All apprenticeships completed within the business have resulted in full-time employment.
