Begbies Traynor further strengthens Teesside team with promotion
Leading rescue and recovery specialist Begbies Traynor is continuing to invest in building an expert team in Teesside to support SMEs throughout the region, with the promotion of Stephanie Breckon to the role of insolvency manager.
Since joining Begbies Traynor as a trainee insolvency administrator seven years ago, Stephanie has risen through the ranks, becoming a senior insolvency administrator in 2019 and then an assistant insolvency manager a year ago. She is now a CPI qualified insolvency manager and plans to take her exams to become a licensed insolvency practitioner in the next couple of years.
Having grown up in Hartlepool which is still her home, Stephanie comments: “I feel very fortunate to be part of a forward-thinking firm like Begbies Traynor which recognised my potential as a 22-year-old with an interest in business and has enabled me to pursue a challenging career while remaining in Teesside. They have invested in building my knowledge both on-the-job and by supporting me on the path to gaining my insolvency qualifications and I really appreciate having the opportunity to pursue my ambition of becoming a fully qualified insolvency practitioner. I am proud to be part of such a skilled team, providing advice to businesses across the region.”
Ian Royle, partner for Begbies Traynor who leads the Teesside office, said: “It’s extremely satisfying to see our operations in Teesside continuing to go from strength-to-strength. We recognise that it is only by nurturing the very best professional advisers that we can provide the expert advice businesses need and, to help us achieve this, we are always keen to ‘grow’ our own talent. Stephanie has become an integral member of the team, with her enthusiasm and skills adding strength in depth to our fast-growing team in Teesside.”
Begbies Traynor currently has ten offices and employs around 120 staff in Yorkshire, the Humber and the North East. It offers a full range of professional services including corporate recovery, investigations and risk, forensic accounting advice, corporate finance, property, funding, debt collection and personal insolvency.
