Sage expands with ForceManager deal
A North East-founded international software firm has expanded.
Sage has bought ForceManager.
Bosses say the deal for the Barcelona-based operator, which provides small and medium-sized companies with technology to boost sales, reinforces Sage’s “commitment to innovation and supporting (firms) to succeed”.
ForceManager has more than 1000 customers and operates in the UK, Europe and North and South America, with Sage hailing its systems’ potential in helping its customers “effectively track portfolios, budgets, opportunities, contacts and team collaboration”.
José Luis Martín Zabala, Sage Iberia managing director, said: "ForceManager's high-level technology, together with the talent of colleagues joining Sage, confirms our strategy of delivering sustainable and efficient growth for businesses.”
Oscar Maciá, ForceManager chief executive, added: “Joining forces with Sage presents an incredible opportunity to empower millions of small and medium-sized businesses to increase sales and achieve greater business success.”
Founded in Newcastle in 1981, Sage listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1989 and began entering international markets in earnest from the early 1990s.
Today, the firm, which runs operations from North Tyneside’s Cobalt Business Park, serves millions of customers across countries in mainland Europe, Africa, Australia, Asia and Latin America.
It has further UK bases in London, Manchester, Brighton, Bristol and Wokingham.
