TaskHer aims to raise £300,000 in campaign
A London-based platform aiming to revolutionise the trades industry has reached a “key milestone” by launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise £300,000 via Crowdcube, as it accelerates its growth in both consumer and business markets.
TaskHer, founded in 2022, connects customers with verified tradeswomen, offering instant quotes and secure payments.
Using AI to match tradeswomen to jobs, the platform seeks to address industry inequities, where women are underrepresented despite significant consumer demand.
TaskHer estimates the UK market size at £56 billion, with 33 per cent of homeowners preferring female tradespeople.
Operating on a marketplace model, TaskHer takes a 25 per cent commission while tradeswomen retain the rest. The platform has seen a 79 per cent increase in revenue in the last financial year and plans to enhance margins by expanding its B2B bookings.
Anna Moynihan, co-founder of TaskHer, said: “The launch of our crowdfunding campaign is a key milestone in TaskHer’s journey.
“We’re incredibly proud to have taken, what was initially an idea from a negative experience, and launched a business that not only fills a gap in our market but also empowers and positively impacts the people who use us along the way.
“The funding we’re seeking will be used to spearhead TaskHer’s growth and unlock important B2B markets, as well new locations across the UK”
Previously raising £350,000 in pre-seed funding from UK impact investors, TaskHer is now valued at £3.5 million, with crowdfunding supporting its continued growth and market impact.
