Blue Kangaroo eyes new jobs in expansion

A creative agency has revealed job plans as it targets £5 million turnover.

Blue Kangaroo says it wants staff as it expands its experiential services division.

And bosses at the Newcastle-based operator say they are also looking at additional premises to house new production facilities.

The expansion comes as the business looks to build on design, concept and in-store installation work with global retailers and brands, and support further work across America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

They add the blueprint will be supported by new recruits Andrew McGee and Richy Stubbs, who have joined as head of projects and operations manager, respectively.

Founded in 2006, Blue Kangaroo works with leading names in toys, entertainment and licensing, producing creative work for Mattel, Paramount, Spin Master and Universal.

Jason Knights, Blue Kangaroo founder and managing director, said: “Our partners tell us that our upscale, interactive and immersive experiences encourage long-term brand affinity.

“Our expansion in this area enables us to provide a full suite of services, helping facilitate long-lasting connections and unique engagement with brands, driving repeat shoppers.”

He added: “We aim to reach £5 million turnover by 2030 and recruit more creatives from the region to fulfil client demands.

“Being a Northerner, I am incredibly proud of our community.

“We have limitless potential, and we would love to work with more businesses in the North East, across the UK and beyond.”
