AECOM strengthens London team
Global infrastructure consulting firm AECOM has strengthened its London team with two senior appointments to support growing infrastructure investment and development.
Alex Hammerton has been named head of project management after more than a decade with the firm, leading major residential and mixed-use projects, including Canada Water and the Serpentine Pavilion.
He will oversee a 145-strong team, focusing on service delivery, client partnerships and growth across multiple sectors.
Aled Jenkins joins as regional director in the cost management team.
A chartered quantity surveyor with 24 years’ experience, he moves from Mace to help expand AECOM’s London cost team, which now includes over 130 professionals.
AECOM is currently managing key London projects, including One Undershaft, set to be the City’s tallest tower, as well as Salisbury Square, due for completion in 2026.
Scott Motley, UK head of programme, project and cost management (PPC) at AECOM, said: “Clients and developers in London and beyond are seeking novel solutions to bring ambitious projects forward efficiently and at speed.
“Sticky inflation and high interest rates mean there is little room for error in project budgets and it’s essential that schemes are managed effectively to accelerate delivery.
“Alex and Aled both bring a wealth of experience, technical expertise and a proven track record of delivering for clients to their new roles as we look forward to advising on more of London’s landmark developments in the coming years.”
