RWO appoints new board director
North East engineering firm RWO has promoted Sam Innes to its board as executive director, where he will lead the growth of its residential structures division.
Based in Newcastle, Sam will oversee business development, client relationships, recruitment and training, while continuing to manage technical design and compliance across projects.
He brings 15 years of experience in structural engineering and project management, and will support housebuilders including Vistry Group, Karbon Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Bellway Homes and Barratt Developments.
Sam said: “I am very proud to be stepping into this role and look forward to taking a more hands-on role at the highest level at RWO as we look to develop our activities further and work on more exciting projects with the continued support of our highly talented team in the North East and Yorkshire.”
Sam’s promotion comes as RWO targets £4 million turnover by FY2026 across its offices in Newcastle, Leeds, Stokesley and London.
Managing director Ross Oakley added: “Sam is at the forefront of our residential structures work.
“Since joining us in 2024, he has established himself as an integral member of the leadership team, taking on more board-level responsibility.
“This is a natural promotion, which recognises his contribution to the business and ambitious plans for the future growth and development of our residential structures work.”
