New stores and sunny skies boost shopping hub
Store openings and the UK’s sunniest spring on record helped a shopping centre bag higher sales.
Trinity Leeds says transactions increased 15.7 per cent year-on-year between April and June.
Owner Landsec says the uptick was fuelled by launches from brands including fashion retailer Zara and homeware and lifestyle brand Søstrene Grene.
Footfall was also 4.7 per cent better off, with bosses hailing the impact of warm spring months as home sales surged by 130 per cent year-on-year and fragrance, health and beauty recorded a 15.1 per cent uplift.
Steven Foster, Trinity Leeds centre director, said: “We’re thrilled to see such a strong uplift in both footfall and sales.
“These results speak volumes about the continued appetite for experience-led, in-person shopping.
“Destinations like Trinity Leeds, where guests can enjoy compelling shopping experiences with a strong mix of brands, offer something truly special.
“It’s this unique mix that keeps us outperforming and evolving, and we’re excited to build on this momentum.”
