Ultimate Products announces senior leadership promotions
Oldham-headquartered Ultimate Products, owner of leading homeware brands including Salter and Beldray, has announced a series of senior management promotions, with five members of its operating board stepping into new C-suite roles.
Duncan Singleton has been promoted to chief commercial officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in the small domestic appliances sector, including two decades at Ultimate Products.
He has played a pivotal role in the growth of the Group’s largest division, helping to elevate the Salter and Beldray brands to new market heights.
David Bloomfield steps into the role of chief supply chain officer after more than 17 years with the business.
He brings extensive expertise in international supply chain management, particularly across the Far East, and continues to lead the logistics function that underpins the Group’s global operations and retail partnerships.
Meanwhile, Craig Holden becomes chief operating officer, overseeing worldwide operational sites and the people function, while also leading key projects including the launch of the Group’s graduate development scheme.
Katie Maxwell takes on the role of chief product officer, having risen through the business to drive innovation across the product portfolio and ESG strategy.
Finally, Tracy Carroll has been promoted to chief marketing officer, after successfully leading the rebrands of Salter and Beldray since joining the business in 2022.
The changes strengthen representation of key functions at board level, supporting the Group’s long-term growth strategy.
As part of the restructure, founder Simon Showman will transition from chief commercial officer to president and founder from September 1, focusing on European business and product development.
He remains the Group’s largest shareholder and a member of the board.
Andrew Gossage, chief executive, said: “I am very pleased to be promoting this exceptional group of individuals to C-suite roles.
“They have each made a massive contribution to Ultimate Products, and bring relentless professionalism, dedication and passion to their roles.
“We are fortunate to have such enviable strength and depth of talent within our business, and their promotions also illustrate the Group’s ability to provide fantastic opportunities for career progression across all functions.
“I am also delighted that Simon will continue to play an important role in the business, with a particular focus on realising the exciting opportunities that we see for this business in Europe.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with this new-look senior team as we pursue our mission to provide beautiful and more sustainable products for every home.”
Simon added: “Nearly 30 years after founding Ultimate Products, I am incredibly proud that the business has become a place where talented people can join in junior or mid-level roles and progress to some of our most senior leadership positions.
“I have seen each of these promoted colleagues grow into outstanding leaders who understand our business, culture and industry inside out, and their promotions demonstrate the calibre of talent we have at every level at Ultimate Products.
“Although my role is evolving, I look forward to remaining actively involved in the business, with a particular focus on driving our international growth, especially in Europe, and on developing the branded products our customers love.
“Andrew and the wider team will continue to have my full support as we pursue our long-term growth ambitions.”
