Outdo Media appoints new chair
Outdoor media company Outdo Media, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, has appointed Steve Auckland as its new chairman, succeeding Andrew Walker, who becomes a non-executive director.
Steve brings extensive senior leadership experience in the media industry, having held roles including managing director of Metro, chief executive at The Evening Standard, Independent and i Media, as well as managing director of Yorkshire Post Newspapers.
In his new role, he will support the senior management team in driving business growth and acquisitions in the outdoor advertising market.
Steve said: “I’m delighted to be joining Outdo at this exciting time.
“Andrew Walker and chief executive Mike Brennan have built a thriving business, and the talented team is now poised for further growth.
“My role is to facilitate and encourage further developments in a sector that holds huge potential.”
Outdo Media, which rebranded earlier in 2025, employs more than 70 people across the UK and delivers advertising across 30,000 sites, including airports, transport networks and city centres.
The company posted record growth in the first half of 2025 and aims for £20 million revenue by 2027.
Mike Brennan, chief executive, added: “Our new branding as Outdo reflects the company we’ve become – dynamic, ambitious and national in scale.
“I am confident that Steve as chairman will bring a fresh perspective to our operations and help us achieve new heights.”
