Accountancy firm eyes growth after takeovers

An accountancy and advisory firm has expanded with two takeovers.

BK Plus has bought Geens Chartered Accountants and Wells Richardson.

Bosses say the moves “reinforce its position as one of the UK’s fastest-growing accountancy and advisory firms for SMEs”.

And they say the deals are primed to be followed by more “exciting moves… with 2026 set to be an even bigger year”.

Under the terms of its takeovers, Stoke-based Geens Chartered Accountants and Sheffield’s Wells Richardson will add specialist probate and estate administration support to BK Plus’ stable, which includes 33 offices nationwide.

Shaun Knight, chief executive at Palatine-backed BK Plus, which provides audit, accounts, tax, restructuring and advisory services to owner-managed businesses, said: “These new teams bring exceptional expertise and regional strength to our business.

“Our new probate and estate administration service means we can now support clients and families through every stage of life and business.

“Even as 2025 draws to a close, we still have a few more exciting moves to announce — and 2026 looks set to be an even bigger year.”
