House of Koko expands with new city centre café
A Leeds-based café brand is expanding into the city centre this autumn.
House of Koko, known for its Middle Eastern-inspired menus, design-led interiors and strong community ethos, is opening its third venue on Central Road.
The city centre café represents the brand’s biggest investment to date and aims to bring the same vibrant atmosphere its loyal customers have come to love from its Chapel Allerton and Oakwood locations.
Founded in 2015, House of Koko draws on Lebanese hospitality and Rosita’s heritage to create inclusive, flavour-packed dishes.
The menu features signature offerings such as Muhammara Eggs, Lebanese Hash and Hot Honey Habibti, while the new café pairs this vibrant cuisine with bespoke interiors, featuring handcrafted furniture, a custom-built coffee bar and design touches inspired by Mediterranean landscapes.
Bosses say the new site will add a sharper, more urban edge while retaining the warmth and intimacy central to Koko’s identity.
They add that the café will seat 28 inside, with plans to nearly double capacity outdoors during warmer months.
House of Koko founder Rosita Rogers said: “House of Koko has always been about more than great coffee; it’s about connection, culture, and creating spaces with heart.
“With the city centre opening, we wanted to bring that same sense of community to a bigger stage and create a place that feels elevated but still warm, soulful and unmistakably Koko.
“We’ve grown from being a small neighbourhood café to something that really represents the independent spirit of Leeds, and this move into the city centre marks a reflection of how far we’ve come.
“House of Koko - City is about celebrating that journey and bringing our roots with us while looking to the future.”
Fit-out is underway, with the venue scheduled to welcome its first customers in November.
