Regal Foods serves up culinary opportunities

A Bradford-based education provider is expanding its training offer with upgraded facilities and new opportunities for aspiring chefs.

Bradford College has enhanced its hospitality and catering provision after receiving funding from food manufacturer Regal Foods to modernise its training kitchens.

The investment has enabled the launch of a new Level 3 Professional Cooking, Patisserie and Confectionery course, along with an expansion of the college’s Level 2 hospitality modules.

The upgraded facilities now feature professional-standard equipment, including commercial induction hobs, baking tins, cookware and high-performance refrigeration, giving students hands-on experience with the tools used in industry kitchens.

With improved learning spaces and specialist equipment, the new programme will offer advanced training in breads, doughs, pastries and both hot and cold desserts.

Students will also benefit from broader technical knowledge and practical insight designed to prepare them for careers in the baking, catering and wider food sectors.

Faz Ali, sales and marketing director of Regal Food Products Group Plc, said: “Building on our ongoing partnership with Bradford College, we are thrilled to expand the opportunities available to students.

“By enhancing the curriculum and providing access to modern, professional equipment, we hope to inspire the next generation of chefs and bakers to reach their full potential.”

Janice Flude, chef lecturer at Bradford College, added: “When colleges have the opportunity to partner with industry professionals, it enables new perspectives and ideas to develop and enhance the curriculum offer by the department.

“This allows our learners to grow and have a greater chance of successful employment within the hospitality industry.

“I believe Regal and the college are developing a strong partnership with mutual understanding form both sides creating great values for the future.”
