Inco marks milestone with record growth
A West Midlands construction firm has marked an anniversary with strong growth and a record year of performance.
Inco Contracts, headquartered in Cannock with regional bases in Cardiff, Stevenage and Warrington, has grown from a one-man start-up into a national contractor delivering hundreds of refurbishment projects each year.
The company has reported £60 million in annual revenues as it marks its 15th anniversary, reflecting rapid expansion since a management buyout in 2020.
Under the leadership of David Cotterill and Sam Norton, the firm has created 21 new jobs and strengthened its presence across the UK.
Recent appointments include Adam Bidhendy to head the Cardiff office and Billy Sneddon to lead an expanding education division that has already secured £3 million of contracts.
Internal investment has also supported future growth, with new hires across marketing and administration.
David, managing director, said: “The last five years have been a whirlwind period for the business, with new office openings and expansion into fresh markets, all complementing our established work in the commercial and industrial sectors.
“Our reputation has been built on taking on projects and delivering them on time, on budget and to the highest possible standard.
“This has driven both repeat business and new opportunities, and it’s the approach we’ll continue to build the company around.
“Using this model, we’ve successfully expanded into the North West, the South East and, most recently, Wales and the South West.
“We expect further office openings over the next twelve months, alongside a strengthened presence in education and other specialist sectors.”
Working across industrial, education, commercial and office fit-out sectors, Inco Contracts has also built a strong track record in sports facilities and heritage refurbishment.
Sam, operations director, added: “The ‘Inco’ culture is about creating a positive impact in the communities where we operate, and that extends well beyond bricks, mortar and cladding.
“Every member of our 50+ strong team has their own personal development plan and, through the Inco Foundation, we have supported a wide number of charities over the past five years, raising more than £60,000 in the process.
“This includes a DIY makeover at St Giles Hospice in Lichfield, support for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and, most recently, improvements to children’s play spaces at New Cross Hospital for The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity.”
