Summit nails new three-year deal with Wickes
A national home improvement retailer is set to strengthen its digital performance through a renewed partnership with a Yorkshire-based marketing specialist.
Hull agency Summit has agreed a new three-year contract with Wickes, extending a successful two-year collaboration that has supported the retailer’s online growth.
Bosses say the deal covers full-service management across paid media, organic search and affiliate activity, deepening Summit’s involvement in Wickes’ digital strategy.
They add that Wickes will also expand its use of Productcaster’s ecommerce technology suite, adding tools such as FeedManager, ProductMaximiser and ProductTester to complement its long-standing use of the Comparison Shopping Service.
Martin Corcoran, chief executive of Summit and Productcaster, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the partnership we have with Wickes and the work we have done in the last two years.
“Agreeing a new three-year extension is a real show of faith in Summit’s ability to drive performance but also a reflection on our specialism in retail, proprietary Productcaster technology and our mindset to go above and beyond for clients.
“I love the fact we’re seen as a competitive advantage in a tough retail market and can’t wait to see what we can do in our next three years together.”
During the previous contract, Summit delivered customer-focused improvements to wickes.co.uk and enhanced the online-to-store journey, contributing to a 21 per cent rise in generic traffic and seven per cent year-to-date revenue growth from paid media campaigns.
Gary Kibble, chief marketing officer at Wickes, says the extended partnership supports its continued investment in performance marketing and ecommerce innovation.
He added: “After two great years of delivering strong digital growth, working in partnership with Summit, we’re absolutely delighted to have extended our relationship across paid, organic and affiliates for another three years.
“Summit’s focus on the customer and genuine commitment to collaboration really align with the Wickes ethos and values.
“Summit's ability to exploit opportunities and innovation within the digital market to drive sales and ROI has helped our partnership deliver industry-leading results.”
