Wellness brand GLOW plans regional expansion
A North East wellness brand is scaling its regional presence following a multi-million-pound investment programme.
Durham-founded GLOW has announced an expansion across the North East, with plans to create up to 50 new jobs during 2026 as it rolls out a series of new locations.
The growth will be supported by significant capital investment and marks the next phase in the company’s development.
Founded by Steven Curran, Terry Haley and Mitchell Anderson, GLOW currently operates wellness stores in Durham and Spennymoor.
A Newcastle city centre site is scheduled to open in January 2026, with a fourth confirmed location at Thinford.
The firm also plans to open three additional stores during 2026, extending its footprint across the region.
Mitchell said: “This next phase is about building something long term and high quality.
“The investment we are making in 2026 is focused on the right locations, the right people and maintaining standards as we grow.”
GLOW offers sunbeds, beauty rooms and wellness services within purpose-designed environments, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, comfort and consistency.
The brand has built a loyal customer base by maintaining disciplined operating standards and investing in well-trained local teams.
GLOW currently employs 20 people, all recruited locally.
Bosses say the planned expansion is expected to create a further 50 roles across customer-facing positions, management and operational support functions, reinforcing GLOW’s commitment to the regional workforce.
Mitchell added: “When we opened our first stores, we listened carefully to customers and refined how we operate before committing to further expansion.
“That discipline gives us confidence, and we are now actively seeking additional locations across the region.”
Further announcements on new locations and recruitment opportunities are expected in the coming months as GLOW continues to invest in its regional growth strategy.
