Insurance broker 'boosts growth mission' with deal
An insurance brokerage has expanded with a takeover.
Clear Group has added Gauntlet Retail Brokers and Gauntlet Appointed Representative Network to its stable.
Bosses say the move “further strengthens its proposition for ambitious independent brokers across the UK”.
Under the terms of the deal, Leeds-based Gauntlet will operate within London-headquartered Clear Group’s Brokerbility-branded network.
They add founder Roger Gaunt has transferred with the business and will play “a pivotal role in the development of Brokerbility’s proposition (while helping) expand membership and supporting entrepreneurial brokers”.
The Gauntlet Appointed Representative Network operates as a partnership model, with Gauntlet offering a broking platform, market access, online quote-and-buy functions and e-trade solutions.
Brokerbility helps member firms access support including proprietary insurance products, data analytics and a training academy.
John Dunn, Brokerbility managing director, said: “We have been on a mission to be the network community of choice for those seeking to build high-quality, growth-focused independent insurance businesses.
“The combination of Brokerbility and Gauntlet deepens an already successful collaboration, giving brokers real choice and expanding our powerful community network.”
Roger added: “Gauntlet has always been about supporting entrepreneurial brokers with the right framework, flexibility and support.
“Becoming fully part of Brokerbility allows us to accelerate that vision as part of a wider values-led community.”
