Shopping mall bags Hollister and Lovisa deals
A shopping mall has bagged a double retailer deal.
Metrocentre is set to welcome Hollister and Lovisa.
Bosses say “powerhouse” clothing brand Hollister will open a 6000sq ft store in the Gateshead-based complex’s Red Mall in the summer.
Jewellery retailer Lovisa has taken a 957sq ft unit in the same section of the precinct.
Gavin Prior, centre director at Metrocentre, said: “Welcoming Hollister is another strong endorsement of our position as a key destination for fashion and lifestyle in the North East.
“Red Mall continues to attract international names that resonate strongly with our visitors, and Hollister’s arrival – alongside Lovisa – strengthens an already compelling mix of accessible, trend-led retailers.”
The additions come after the centre racked up annual footfall of more than 16 million shoppers after a strong December.
Officials say the numbers were fuelled by openings from brands such as Søstrene Grene and refurbishments and relocations from operators including Boots and Superdrug.
