Trunk scores new creative deal with Sharks
A Manchester-based marketing agency has secured a new sports partnership focused on strengthening digital fan engagement.
Trunk has been named the official creative partner of Sale Sharks, supporting the PREM Rugby club across a range of digital and creative initiatives.
The partnership will see the agency collaborate on a new digital fan engagement project and deliver improvements to the club’s website following fan research.
To mark the start of the partnership, Trunk has produced a new film featuring the Sale Sharks squad, voiced by acclaimed Mancunian poet ArghKid.
Alongside the creative work, the agency will maintain pitch-side branding at CorpAcq Stadium.
The move builds on Trunk’s growing involvement in sports sponsorship, including recent work with Stockport County and earlier projects with the Sharks.
Jon Butler, chief executive at Trunk, said: “We’re committed to proving the impact that sponsorship can have for businesses and clubs and working with Sale Sharks was a natural choice for us.
“There’s a real synergy between teamwork on the pitch, and the way we deliver results for clients in the office.
“Putting fan engagement at the heart of our approach means recognising that sponsorship is so much more than a logo on a board.
“We’re excited to see our creative partnership develop together.”
Luisa d'Aprano, commercial director at Sale Sharks, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Trunk to the Sharks family as our official creative partner.
“The team has already demonstrated their expertise with the club and their award-winning work for other brands.
“We’re looking forward to seeing what they can do with our website and Match Centre going forward.
“Trunk are rooted in Manchester and in the North and this partnership is further evidence of our commitment to support and work with our region’s business community.
“Their drive to be the best in their field matches that of our club and together I’m sure we’ll continue to showcase the important part that sponsorship and partnerships like this play in strengthening ties with our fans, community and other partners.”
