Rise Hackathon Episode II: The Bank Awakens
The Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) is an EU payments related legislation which came into force in January 2016. PSD2 requires payment service providers, including banks and online payment providers, to make significant changes to existing operations that will make internet and mobile payments easier and help customers to manage their accounts and make better comparisons of deals.
This legislation will have a fundamental impact on a range of parties including banks, payment service providers, FinTech companies and the public.
Barclays bank are tackling these changes head-on and are inviting developers, SMEs and innovators to work with them to shape the future of financial services.
At the Rise Hackathon Episode II: The Bank Awakens, Barclays are committed to working alongside teams and partners including Twitter, Google, Salesforce, IBM, Microsoft, Twilio, Yodlee, Amazon and others, to develop new solutions and co-create new products and services that will revolutionise the world of online payments for individuals and companies.
This is an opportunity for you to showcase your business / solution to some of the most senior decision makers Barclays - one of the largest banks globally - all in one room at the same time. You will have the opportunity to pitch for 10 minutes to:

· Peter Josse (CTO - Barclays UK)
· Shaun Terry (CIO - Barclays UK)
As well as the opportunity to develop a solution with Barclays, there are also £7,000 worth of cash prizes up for grabs at the epic 36-hour hackathon, which takes place at Rise Manchester, M3 4EN on the 24th & 25th September.
