Go Green To Grow
Kick start your green agenda and help your business flourish….
There is a growing pressure for businesses to reduce the environmental impact caused by the manner in which they currently deliver their activities and services. Major changes will need to be made in the coming years and businesses will need to adopt greener, more sustainable business practices. This is something that we all need to start thinking about now but, although challenging, early adoption of these changes can provide a major opportunity for businesses to secure new contracts and grow their businesses.
‘Go Green to Grow’ is an event designed to raise awareness of these opportunities and to support small and medium-sized businesses to move to a greener future that can benefit their business operations. The event is hosted by BEST, a local authority wide initiative supporting business with energy saving measures (BEST) at the impressive new Urban Sciences Building at Newcastle Helix.
‘Go Green to Grow’, will be held on Friday 19th July, 10- 2.30pm and speakers on the day will include Gary Stone from B2B North, Claire Thompson, GENEE (Greening the Economy of North East England) and Andy Ditchburn, Perro Design and Communications who will cover a range of topics including:
- What is green business and why is it important?;
- What are the new business opportunities that adopting greener businesses practices can open-up?;
- How can I market my green credentials to win more business, boost my brand and get ahead of my competitors?
This will be a unique opportunity for businesses to explore the opportunities to grow their business through developing their green credentials and help them stand out from the crowd, as well make a positive contribution to the environment. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about local support available to help them undertake changes in their business, including grant support from the BEST project.
