Talent and Skills for Scaleup - Scaleup North East Insights Workshop

Scaling businesses based in the North East are competing globally to recruit and retain the very best talent in their specific operating sectors. The objective of the workshop will be to engage and help business owners and senior managers develop people focused strategies around culture, recruitment and staff retention.

The session will give scaling and scaleup potential companies an insight into the employee brand experience, talent acquisition strategies, navigating change and attracting managers and leaders who can help businesses grow successfully. We expect the workshop to appeal to early stage and mid-stage scaleup businesses.

Attracting the right people to grow your business relies on having a magnetic employer brand. Marketing and PR often focuses on talking to your customers, but in today’s world the real battleground lies in finding and keeping talent to scale your business, so your communications strategy has to include a new audience - your existing and future workforce.

We will look at what having a compelling employer brand means in practice and how you should compete in a crowded marketplace for the top talent. We will look at examples of great employer branding and take you through a simple process to design your employer brand strategy and ensure you are ready to win the war on talent. Session delivered by O Communications.

We will take attendees through our pipeline recruitment model to uncover how to overcome skill shortage challenges by moving away from a reactive recruitment process to a proactive, predictable talent pipeline that continuously builds relationships with top talent.
