Introduction to Social Media

Are you trying to get social media to work for your small business but don’t know where to start? Have you been asked to run social media channels at work but worry you’re not doing it right?

This course is designed to help answer all those initial questions, like which are the best channels to use? What content should I be sharing? How often should I post? What results can I expect from social media? And how do I know if it’s working?

By the end of this course, you’ll have a sound, introductory platform from which to embark on marketing a small business through social media, and you’ll be able to develop a simple and realistic social media plan for running your channels, that takes into account the reality of having limited time and resources.

In this course, you will:

  • Learn to set measurable goals that help you prove impact for the business
  • Learn how to develop a manageable social media plan to help communicate your brand values and achieve your business goals.
  • Explore your options when it comes to platforms and tools.
  • Explore techniques for community building and engagement and creating shareable content.
