The ABCs of Lesson Planning - Setting Your Stall Out

Online Event: The ABCs of Lesson Planning - Setting Your Stall Out

The University of Sunderland have created a suite of free online ‘Inspired Learning Workshops’.

These sessions will not only benefit those who work in a teaching, training or coaching role but also help those who manage teams and are looking for ways to positively influence communication, training, training delivery and experience within their organisation.

The ABCs of Lesson Planning - Setting Your Stall Out

What is the purpose of intent, implementation and impact for both the learner and teacher or trainer in the room and how do we begin to start planning to inform a meaningful lesson?

A lesson plan is a guide for what learners need to learn, how it will be taught, and how learning will be measured. It helps teachers and trainers be more effective in the classroom by providing a detailed outline - this ensures every bit of the session is spent teaching new concepts and having meaningful discussions.

This session aims to outline the importance of lesson planning and how to consider how learners actually learn.

This virtual masterclass has been designed for individuals who are interested in developing their lesson planning skills and knowledge. The session will not only benefit those who work in a teaching or training role but also those who manage teams and are looking for ways to positively influence learner experience.

Presented by Lecturer - Reece Sohdi, Programme leader for the Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship at The University of Sunderland.
