South East Northumberland Roundtable

From a multi-billion-pound data centre investment to a momentous rail renaissance and headline-grabbing education, technology and renewable energy developments, the county is stepping into a bold new era of prosperity.

And NET will shine a spotlight on its progress in an exclusive, high-level roundtable discussion, which will celebrate its successes while sketching a blueprint to turbocharge further growth.

The event will showcase the impending £10 billion arrival of Blackstone Group’s artificial intelligence data centre in Cambois, near Blyth, which bosses say will create and support thousands of jobs, and inject up to £110 million growth investment.

The roundtable will also celebrate the revival of the Northumberland Line, which has restored passenger rail travel between Ashington and Newcastle after a decades-long hiatus, and the arrival of Education Partnership North East’s new academic campus in Ashington.

Participants will additionally assess the impact of the Blyth-based Energy Central Learning Hub – created to nurture workers for the UK’s sustainability drive – and explore the revitalisation of Bedlington.

Covered across print and digital channels by multi-platform publisher NET – whose portfolio includes N magazine and national business news website Bdaily – the roundtable will share findings with influential organisations to drive further meaningful change.

Set to feature leading figures from major organisations across the county, secure your place at the table today and help shape South East Northumberland’s tomorrow. To request a seat at the table email john@netimesmagazine.co.uk by Friday, September 19, 2025.

A briefing note, with details of specific questions for discussion, will be issued a week prior to the event.
