Dead good passport to export
A Tyneside furniture design firm is sitting pretty after securing international success with the help of UK Trade & Investment’s Passport to Export initiative. Launched just two years ago by designers Elliot Brook and Dan Ziglam, Deadgood UK Ltd has secured orders from the USA, new links with a supplier in Slovenia and an order from The British Council to supply chairs to the Sudan.
John Doolan, one of UK Trade & Investment’s International Trade Advisers, said: “Deadgood is a relatively new company set up by two North East designers who have proved they have the determination and commitment to succeed in business, not only in the UK but worldwide. “They have taken on the challenge of international trade with great enthusiasm and we’re delighted to have been able to assist them in securing their first overseas orders.”
Companies in the North East can find out more about the services available through UK Trade & Investment by contacting the North East International Trade Hotline on 0845 0505 054 or through www.exportnortheast.com
