Exclusive badger deal for Newcastle mobile content specialist

Newcastle-based mobile phone content specialist Funkimobiles have signed an exclusive deal to provide Footy Badger ringtones and wallpapers. The animations have been created by director/animator Jonti Picking – better known to web fans as Weebl – the name behind the cult ‘Badger Badger Badger’ and ‘Weebl and Bob’ cartoons. Originally created for the Euro 2004 Championships, Footy Badgers have already been viewed over 6.5million times, but this is the first time the content has been available as a range of mobile downloads. Kitted out in England strips and seen scoring endless goals against a snake goalkeeper, the Footy Badger characters dance to the hypnotic Footy Footy Footy soundtrack with moves and ball skills that Peter Crouch would be proud of.Funkimobiles managing director, Emma Robinson said: “Jonti Picking is a highly respected name in the animation industry so we were delighted that he chose to team up with Funkimobiles.
