Festivals set to rock North East Bank Holiday
The Bank Holiday weekend will be a veritable feast for music lovers in the North East as not one, but two festivals look set to rock the region. One-day music festival Hi-Fi North, will take place at Maften Estate, in Northumberland National Park this Saturday May 27th, bringing with it an impressive line up of bands and alternative events. The festival, which is a strictly no camping festival, is set to finish in the small hours of Sunday morning and includes a number of features including rock-climbing, the comedy club, and various chill-out zones. The line up includes Editors, Ian Brown and Dirty Pretty Things. The region’s biggest music event - Orange Evolution festival - also reaches its climax this weekend with Monday’s Freevolution06 transforming NewcastleGateshead Quayside into an outdoor music arena with three stages. Go! Team, Hard Fi and Orson are some of the headline acts of the free one-day event.
