New Newcastle-London Flight
Travellers from the North East will next week be able to benefit from one of the quickest journeys from the region to London with the launch of Eastern Airways new service. From Monday 30th January 2006, four flights will operate each weekday from Newcastle International Airport to London City Airport, which is located in the Docklands, just 6 miles from the City of London. The 1hr 25 minute flight will take off from Newcastle at 7.05am, 10.40am, 2.10pm and 5.45pm, landing in London City at 8.30am, 12.05pm, 3.35pm and 7.10pm. From London City, flights depart at 9am, 12.30pm, 4.05pm and 7.40pm arriving at 10.10am, 1.40pm, 5.15pm and 8.50pm. Newcastle International’s Chief Executive, John Parkin, said: “The business community in the North-East have been asking for a link to London City Airport for some time. Eastern Airways’ new service is excellent news for our passengers as it will provide an important and convenient link direct to key areas of the capital such as Docklands and the City of London.”
Bookings can now be made on www.easternairways.com or via Eastern Airways Reservations Centre on 08703 669100 or via travel agents.
