Porsches for police
Austrian police are planning to buy more Porsche 911s as traffic control cars, reports Ananova.com. Police are unsurprisingly delighted to drive the £65,000 sports car, capable of 177mph, and intend to buy more. A police spokesperson said: “The preventive effect is excellent. Drivers just needed to see it parked alongside the road and they slammed on the breaks. “The only thing is that it’s a bit cramped. But there’s still enough space for the essential equipment like the speeding radar and the breathalyser.”
