Wimbledon seats are set to grow by two inches for this year’s June tournament to accommodate the event’s more sizeable spectators. The Sun newspaper reports that bosses at the England Tennis Club decided to act after they discovered Centre Court seats were nearly half the width of BA’s economy flight seats, resulting in some of the larger spectators having trouble seating themselves comfortably. The supersized furniture, which will be introduced in time for the summer, will mean that spectators now have 18 inches of space in which to enjoy their strawberries and cream.
