Top Technologists To Unlock New Secrets of Teamwork
Two top technology experts from Microsoft and Mitel, the provider of IP communications solutions, are to visit the region to demonstrate some pioneering technology use at an event for North East businesses.Hot on the heels of the Government agenda to improve the UK economy through knowledge based technology and business practice, Durham firm Waterstons has secured Mark Deakin of Microsoft and Campbell Williams of Mitel for an event that will take place at Durham County Cricket Club on February 1st.
The event is aimed at senior level executives and IT managers who want to understand how technology advances can empower the workforce through communication and collaboration improvements. They can learn how portal technology can transform the way staff communicate across teams, across divisions, with business partners and with the rest of the workforce. The event will feature demonstrations of brand new technology, and how it can be integrated with business processes to produce more effective ways of working. Some of the technology on show includes Microsoft’s SharePoint Portal Server, VoIP, Microsoft’s new Live Communications Server and Windows mobile devices such as Pocket PCs and SmartPhones.
