Tricky twinkle toes
A crooked eBayer was tripped up by his own toes when he tried to sell stolen motorcycle parts, reports Florida’s The St Petersburg Times. Frustrated by the theft of his $6,000 bike, owner Derek Lombard searched on eBay and found the parts. 29-year old thief Richard Costello had laid the stolen items on a linoleum floor and taken photographs; however, his feet could be seen poking into some of the images, with ‘WHITE’ spelt on the toes of his left foot and ‘TRASH’ on the toes of the right foot – as noted in his jail records. “This one goes in the ‘Not the brightest star in the sky’ file” noted police Sgt Greg Stewart.
