University wins Fairtrade status
The University of Sunderland has been awarded Fairtrade Status in recognition of its work in promoting and supporting Fairtrade products. The university has included Fairtrade products in its catering provision for a number of years, but now all areas of the University, including conferencing, hospitality and vending, provide Fairtrade options where possible.Fairtrade products ensure that those involved in production of the goods have access to health care, education and fair wages.
