Record number of adverts created in North East

September sees a Newcastle company create the largest number of TV commercials ever produced within the North East region at one time.

Guerilla Productions, the TV production arm of Guerilla Communications, is creating a three-day TV Shoot for national retailer Holland & Barrett. The £6million project will involve the creation of over 36 30-second commercials and 100 10-second commercials that will be aired over the next year across the UK and Ireland.

Rodger Bonnici, MD of Guerrilla Productions commented: “The fact that we can film and produce such a large number of commercials in the North East shows how the region is progressing in terms of the talent now available. In past years we have gone to London to complete a project of this complexity, but moving forward we must keep as much work as possible within this region.”

The decision to make the commercial in Newcastle was also based largely upon the excellent studio facilities now available at Newcastle College where the live shoot is taking place.
