1) First Thursday art event tonight
On the First Thursday of every month, Newcastle-based The Art Works Galleries and Eye to Eye open their doors for an evening of art, music, performance, demonstrations and discussion, where the artists behind the works, those interested in buying art and members of the wider creative and business communities can enjoy and evening together.
Tonight’s event brings a thrilling exhibition in partnership with Young Enterprise and RAP (Resettlement and aftercare provision). Five graffiti experts, including an internationally famous artist, have been installing their work in the Gallery’s outside courtyard. In keeping with the exhibitions theme, there will also be live music and dancing by Dialect.
Local art dealer, 100artworks will be displaying and selling works by Banksy and The Invader.
Date: Thursday 5th October 2006
Time: 6.30pm - 9.00pm
