Car made of cars for sale on eBay
A sculpture of the General Lee car from the ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ TV show is currently for sale on eBay at over £2000. Sculptor James R Ford from London has created the work of art from a second-hand 1981 Ford Capri and over 4000 toy cars.
In addition to searching out and purchasing appropriate toy cars himself, the aptly named Ford started an appeal for people all over the world to send him their unused toys. The donators could leave messages in the car in order to become part of “a global art collaboration.”
The sculpture is on display at the Your Gallery @ The Guardian exhibition today, and will be sold to the highest bidder on eBay at 3:00pm this Friday. If you want place a bid, the auction is here. The car has no engine, so the item is for pickup only.
