Flat-pack business support

Business Link is temporarily setting up shop in Ikea from next week.

An informal Business Link drop-in-centre will be in the store’s new small business department to allow shoppers to pick up business advice along with their furniture and equipment. Business Link hopes the service will help them engage with businesses that do not usually seek external support, to explain the services available to pre-start, start-up and established enterprises.

Andy Brown, business development manager of Business Link, said: “This is a superb way of targeting those businesses that are shopping to equip themselves for possible expansion and allows us to explain how we can offer support. The Ikea sessions form part of a concentrated effort to ensure our services are as accessible as possible to all businesses.

“Research shows that organisations that seek external expertise and act upon it achieve greater levels of success, productivity and profitability than those who go it alone and we hope to deliver these benefits to as many of Ikea’s business customers as possible over the fortnight.”

Customers can speak to Sarah or Dave from Business Link without an appointment between 11am and 3pm, on weekdays between Monday, October 30, and Friday, November 10. Support on any aspect of running a business will be available.
