Seal takes a little walk
A seal was found waddling down a country lane in the middle of Lancashire last week. Animal experts are baffled after the exhausted common seal was discovered near Borwick, reports the Mirror. A couple managed to get the mammal out of water into their car and took it home before calling the RSPCA. There were no grazes on the seal’s body to suggest it had crawled from the river, and the RSPCA said it was unlikely to have been moved by pranksters. Animal collection officer Nick Green said: “It’s a mystery how it turned up in the middle of nowhere. “It was about a mile from the River Lune and four miles from the sea.”
