Creative Business Mentors Wanted
An innovative project aimed at the North East’s creative businesses is about to be launched, and the organisers are looking for the very best creative practitioners to help deliver it. DigitalCity Innovation will initially host a series of workshops and networking events aimed at the region’s cultural and creative business community. This will lead to one-on-one mentoring programmes delivered by industry professionals.
DigitalCity intend for the support provided to be practical and tailored to the needs of each company who sign up. While the requirements of each company supported will differ, it is hoped that these mentoring programmes will have a significant impact on turnover and business growth, working practices and the acquisition of business contracts.
DigitalCity are seeking established practitioners from photography, web design/new media, games design, film & TV, animation, digital art & installations, graphic design/advertising, and music technology/songwriting/production. Successful candidates will be expected to provide realistic advice, support and guidance based on a vast experience of working in one of the above industries. A strong portfolio and proven track record is absolutely essential.
If you are interested in getting involved, email Scott Watson at scott@thedigitalcity.org. For further information on the DigitalCity visit the website: www.thedigitalcity.org.
