Ding dong! Burglars calling!
The overall intelligence of the criminal community sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. Three would-be burglars in St Petersburg, Florida, alerted the owner of the house they were attempting to break into by ringing the doorbell. They then continued to try prying the door open with a pocket knife until homeowner Samuel Sanchez opened it and confronted them, at which point they fled the scene. Police later found one of the three hiding in a nearby dustbin. So much for stealth.
