Volunteers wanted for Uni's 'Dragon's Den'
Budding entrepreneurs are being invited to take part in a “Dragon’s Den’’ style challenge at Northumbria University. The University is looking for innovative Year 12 pupils who have the creative flair and imagination to produce a brand new business idea. Teams consisting of four members must be able to convince a panel of experts that their idea has the potential to be launched as a marketable and innovative new product or service. The winning team members will each win an iPod and £500 towards a course in the School of Computing, Engineering and Information Sciences at Northumbria.
Anyone interested can register online until 23 March, followed by a briefing session at the University on 28 March. The final competition will be held on Thursday 3 May. For more information or to register online, go to www.northumbria.ac.uk/ceis/events or ring 0191 243 7521.
