Bag lifter's bad luck
Everyone has a bit of bad luck from time to time, but one Austrian handbag snatcher’s karmic retribution seems a little disproportionate. The 17-year-old thief grabbed a pensioner’s bag outside a field in Traun where local police were holding a road safety awareness day. Minutes later all the officers at the event were in hot pursuit, including sniffer dogs and 27 patrol cars. The bag snatcher suddenly found the area full of police cars and tried to hide in a multi-storey car park. This idea failed, and he was subsequently arrested.
