Underground skiing
A man who filmed himself skiing down the longest escalator on London’s underground rail network was branded “dangerous, stupid and irresponsible” today. The man hurtled down nearly 200 feet at Angel tube station with a camera strapped to his head. The 60-second film shows the man climb the escalator, clip on his skis at the top and begin his high-speed descent as onlookers shout out behind him.
A British Transport Police spokesman said it was a “naive and reckless act” and urged witnesses to call them.
We at The bdaily suggest that readers do not try to emulate this young man’s stunt on the escalators of the North East’s public transport systems. We also suggest that they do not put footage of their escapades on video sharing site Youtube, particularly if the police are looking for them.
